Lavender, thyme, and yuzu
A heady clearing of violet and pale blue
Glistening keys dropping in a still diminuendo
Not as conclusion, but as reassurance
Lying in the crux of my taut palms
The road sweeps itself from under my feet
And I fly forward as if I were a child, again
Revolutions as renewed revelations
Every “spur of the moment” as blessing
And every backwards that brings me forwards
Divine placement as an implicit wit,
Life laughs at me-
And the funny thing is
I can do nothing
But laugh back
Itzcuauhtli crying a primitive premonition; a warning
Of the blue-eyed despot above the southern horizontal
The Transcendental Signified
He who scatters the sea of organs
A scene arranged like jazz keys
-
The southmost Aotearoa as ancestral apprehension
Aleatoric assemblages, a bricolaged visage
Every arrangement echoing his aortic centricity
Inscribing on the temporal sulcus an autocratic signature;
A proliferated signification of ‘the face’
I imagine my face is a ‘haunt’
Able to articulate my body so well,
You are a corporeal poet
Praising my figure into robust truth
Yet my face stays undelineated
Non-faciality
A silent visage traced on my organs
An always-already absent presence
Postmortem ephemera
Our post-facial dilemma
